week 9. My plan about professional learning network (Or just an informative network for me🫣) assignment!

I feel a bit embarrassed as a grad student for not having a structured “professional” learning network. I feel like I should have one, like subscribing to a YouTuber who addresses my interests, at least. So I was worried about the PLN assignment. But! The good thing is that it doesn’t have to be professional or discipline-oriented, according to the assignment instructions. Then I think I can write about my learning (or just informative) network about one specific interest in humans, which I cannot share for my dignity lol. In that network, I’m not an active user, but I think I get a lot of insights I can’t get from my acquaintances, and I see many places for users to participate and contribute, which are run through YouTube channels and online cafes.  Question for my peers: What specific professional learning network topic are you going to address in this assignment?

Week 9. Prosumer? Produsage? What’s the difference?

After reading Hu et al. (2018), I was confused about the words “prosume” and “produse”. I feel like they both have meanings of producing and remaking. In social media, I think those two words are very similar. So I asked Gemini about the difference. Here’s what Gemini said; So, what I understood is that a prosumer doesn’t necessarily share their stuff; they might download other people’s work and revise it for their own context, but they might not share their revised work. On the other hand, a produser shares stuff that they developed from others’ work. If I’m wrong, please correct me! Hu, S., Torphy, K. T., Opperman, A., Jansen, K., & Lo, Y. J. (2018).
